Taking more action to help against pollution will restore the population of animals that are killed by litter and habitat loss. Statistical data on the extinction of species shows that 100 to 1,000 species are lost per million per year due to the loss of their habitats and climate change caused by emissions. If humans refuse to protect animals and plants in a better way, scientists predict that it could lead to the sixth mass extinction in Earth history. By causing less deforestation, animals will not have to relocate their habitats and have a greater chance of survival in the wild. Leaving animal habitats alone will in turn make it less necessary for people to have to create wildlife reserves for them to specifically live on. The use of cleaner and more renewable energy over fossil fuels will improve air quality and overall human health. The burning of fossil fuels is known to give off pollutant emissions, which renewable energy, such as wind, hydroelectric, and solar energy, do not. Studies have shown that emissions from burning coal and natural gas cause breathing problems, neurological damage, heart attacks, cancer, premature death, and a host of other serious problems. Using a form of energy with little to no emissions will help prevent these health problems in the future. Using cleaner energy will also be beneficial to the health of animals in surrounding habitats. A new source of energy will create more jobs for workers who previously worked in the coal or natural gas industry. The workers will be exposed to less harmful pollutants than if they were still working with coal and gas. It is a misconception that more jobs will be lost due to environmental protections but actually eco-friendly standards often generate a net gain in employment. So not only will there be less pollutants in the environment that would harm both humans and animals, but also the economy would be benefiting from a transition to more renewable energy. One main reason that people are opposed to taking action against pollution is that it will cost them too much money from taxes. It will actually cost communities less money to just stop deforestation because then they would not have to establish wildlife reservations to preserve that habitats for animals in the affected areas. It is also a common misconception that the transition to cleaner energy is costly, when in reality the average price to install a solar panel dropped more than 70 percent between 2010 and 2017, making the transition more affordable than it ever was before. Yes, youve had roommates for the past several years, and you may view your parents as similar to them. Your parents, however, will always view you as their child. Do your best to keep this in mind as you figure out how things will work once you move back in. Sure, it seems ridiculous for a roommate to want to know where youre going every night. But your parents probably have a legitimate right to ask. Set a Time Frame Do you just need someplace to crash between when you graduate from college and when you start graduate school in the fall? Or do you need somewhere to live until you can save enough money on your own to get your own place? Talk about how long you plan on staying — 3 months, 6 months, 1 year — and then check back in with your parents once that time frame is up. Researchers are of the opinion that emotional intelligence is highly significant for nursing managers as these skills helps them to maintain the nursing staff. This skill increases the nursing leaders capacity to increase the employment satisfaction among the nurses and prevent them from burning out. It also helps in employee retention. Leaders with high level of emotional intelligence will help in diminishing the complicacy of work among the nursing members that will in turn increase job satisfaction (Curtis et al., 2011). It helps in developing proper relationships among the team members that helps in developing sound environment that helps in providing best care to patients. Nursing leaders with high emotional intelligence helps in developing superiors rate of staff maintenance, patience satisfaction, efficient organization workflow and reducing mistreatment by promoting effective collaborative work. Leaders can also encourage effective communication among the different parties to manage conflicts successfully and to stay away from biasness in workplace. This ensures a happy workplace that in turn increases patient safety and patient satisfaction. Managerial pyramid is mainly seen to be composed of three important levels. These are strategic, tactical as well as operational. Strategic level is the highest level in the administrative pyramid where the leaders require more learning in comparison to the other levels. In the operational level, technical skill is important and communication attributes are important at all levels (Afolabi et al., 2010). Often there are huge debates about the specific roles of managers and supervisors. The role of the managers is to take decisions about what the unit would be functioning like its purposes, roles, functions and many others. The managers are also seen to make commitments and take decisions that require expenditure of significant unit resources. One marked difference, which is observed is that the managers have significant external focus comprising of the worlds outside of the unit whereas the supervisors mainly have the role that ensures more internally focused duty of implementing the decision of the manager through the work of the employees. When the managers decide what to do, the supervisors have the duty in deciding strategies about how to do the work and how to achieve the goals that are set by the managers (Landa, 2010). Supervisors are mainly seen to conduct the same work at the daily basis that the subordinates do. However, managers do not conduct the daily activities of the u nit as a regular part of their work. They may do the work on an exception basis of may get involved in solving the most difficult problems faced by the units. Low emotional intelligence may result in severe impacts on both the group as well as leaders. When group members have low emotional intelligence, it might not affect profitability largely but may influence the inspiration of the staff as well as their efficiency. If the leader would not have proper emotional intelligence, he will not be able to develop teams who are emotionally connected. This would result in development of burnouts among the members as they would not be able to emotionally attach with each other and share their concerns, issues and pressures of both professionals and personal lives. The leaders who have low EI result in affecting the efficiency in winding up with a lower sense of duty among the different employees towards their employment responsibilities (Sadri, 2012). They cannot deal with stress effectively, their absenteeism increases and these results in work insecurity that affects the working climate and in turn the productivity. Nursing domains should possess individuals who have high levels of emotional intelligence and this who does not have must engage in effective developmental programs to brush their skills or emotional intelligence attributes. Emotional intelligence can be enhanced by providing consistently helpful and constructive feedback to others, reinforcing with different types of instructive sessions and advises, taking proper examination and thereby including leadership development program. Researches conducted over the years have shown that healthcare professionals who have high level of emotional intelligence are not only successful in their own lives but also influence their collages and have great contribution to a smooth workplace. Nurses with emotional intelligence can thereby ensure patient satisfaction, effective teamwork, conflict resolution, overcoming power struggles and achievement of organizational goals (Resuena et al. 2014). Therefore, from the above discussion it becomes clear that emotional intelligence is an important attribute that should be possessed by all healthcare organizations. This attribute helps leaders and managers to be ready to deal with the feelings and emotions of the staffs in the healthcare sectors and thereby inspire them for achieving the objectives of the organization successfully. This attribute helps nurses to connect with them emotionally and thereby providing enhance safe patient care. This helps the patients to achieve higher satisfaction. Such attribute also enhances organizational efficiency, maintain job satisfaction of the workers within the organization and thereby reduces the chances of occurring of burnouts among the nurses. This helps in increasing productivity. The absence of emotional intelligence negatively affects group members as well as the leaders. It results in staff turnovers, decrease capacity of the staffs and many others. Misconceptions in Dealing with Abortion The dispute on abortion has become one of the most heated debates in today's society. It is a subject that can instigate incredibly strong emotions on either side of the argument. Since the Supreme Court's Roe v. Wade decision in 1973, which legalized abortions in the United States, women have had the individual right as people to decide the fate of their own bodies. This right can not be negotiated. People are not merely a means to an end, but ends themselves. A woman treated as an incubator of a fetus by the law is simply a means to an end, therefore disregarded as a person. There are many misconceptions about abortion. These misconceptions can potentially lead to the loss of women's individual and necessary rights to choose for themselves whether or not they want to bear a child. Most of these common misconceptions can not only be easily identified, but also utterly refuted. One of these common misconceptions is that human life begins at conception. This conclusion simply does not follow. As affirmed by Thomson in her article A Defense of Abortion: "Similar things may be said about the development of an acorn into an oak tree, and it does not follow that acorns are oak trees, or that we had better say they are" (356). There is no scientific consensus as to when human life begins. It is much more a matter of philosophic opinion or religious belief. Human life is a continuum; sperm and eggs are also alive, and represent potential human beings, but virtually all sperm and eggs are wasted. In addition, two-thirds of human conceptions are spontaneously aborted by nature. Another extremely disputable Pro-Life argument is that a fetus should have rights under the law. If fetal rights were enshrined in law, women's bodies, rights, and health would be subordinated to the protection of embryos. The legal consequences of such a law would be simply catastrophic. The best way to protect the fetus is to promote the health and well being of women. Moreover, the right of the unborn to live can never supercede a woman to control her own body. As said by Margret Sanger: "No woman can call herself free who does not own and control her own body." More than anything else, bearing a child totally alters a woman's life. Other women's rights are in-effect hollow if women are forced to be mothers. Being born is a gift, not a right. People do not ask to be born, and in some cases even wish that they weren't. Another common misconception is that making contraceptives and abortion readily available will ultimately encourage teenagers to have sex. In society today, teen sex has many complex societal causes including sexually oriented TV shows, movies, and ads. Studies have shown that where birth control, abortion, and comprehensive sex education programs are offered, such as in the Netherlands, teenagers have less sex, not more, and abortion rates decrease. Furthermore, abstinence-based sex education programs in schools don't' stop many teenagers from having sex, instead, they the likelihood of unsafe sex. Reality dictates that birth control and abortion must be available to help prevent teens from becoming parents. In addition, it is also true that many of the same people who oppose legal abortion are often to opposition the availability of contraceptives as well. This position is both hypocritical and irresponsible. If anti-abortionists used their well-funded organizing power to help prom ote contraception and sex education instead of fighting women's individual rights to legal abortions in the United States, they would likely be able to cut the teen abortion rate in half within just a few years. Misconceptions about Abortion have disillusioned many people on the topic. It is absolutely necessary that the individual right of women to decide what is right for themselves and their bodies. If these common misconceptions about abortion aren't dealt with and refuted women may ultimately loose one of the most important right they will ever have; the right to choose.
